Sleep

July 13, 2015 · In: BABY, Motherhood

IMG_7512IMG_7532

My body was at the beach but I was in a cloud, chasing after a little waddling baby in the sand. There was no other choice than to be present except it felt like a dream.

There is something magical I’ve found in 5 hours of straight sleep. It was maybe a couple months after Grant was born that I first got that 5 hour stretch and I felt like a superhero. I think I baked a cake from scratch that day, called friends to make plans and cleaned the whole house.

Luckily there have been many 5 and 5+ hour stretches of sleep since then but the last week has given me no more than 4 hour segments and it has made me a mombie.

Oh it must be teething or having dreams or realizing he’s in his big room alone that wakes him often these past nights. Oh, maybe it’s the professional-level fireworks people in my neighborhood like to set off at 3 am and then sometimes at 2 am. Hopefully the gleam of fireworks is wearing off.

That mombie-ness does keep me in the present SO much.  Making plans for the future or decisions about anything outside of what Grant has to eat next or how he is feeling or what he wants to do for fun is just not possible. HA!

What a gift amidst that dizzy, funny feeling of exhaustion.

Tonight. I feel a 5+ coming tonight!!

Stop your scroll! This can save you. One day, I d Stop your scroll! This can save you.

One day, I decided to stop letting my circumstances determine the outcomes that I wanted.

Here he was mother to four, barely sleeping at night, feeling Uncomfortable in my body and sluggish.

Dare I say it but I felt old too.

Then I just decided that, even though I was in this stage of life, I was still going to achieve my goals and have a body that I wanted.

I changed who I was on the inside.

I started telling myself that I was vibrant and beautiful and full of energy and life.

All the sudden I started to believe it.

I ate healthier automatically.

I lost over 20 pounds.

If you want to make changes in your life, no matter where you are, follow @christinajwarren for more.

Then I woke up one day (after weaning and a full night’s sleep-this is key too) and I decided that I am a vibrant, youthful, energetic, healthy, fit and beautiful person.

I reprogrammed the driver (your subconscious mind).

Then the car (aka my body) started moving.
Steps, supplements and clean eating are just the branches.
The root is identity.

Your body doesn’t do what you say you want.
It follows who you believe you are.

The subconscious runs the show. Habits stick. Results compound.
Manifestation speeds up.

Drop “identity” in the comments or DM me IDENTITY to get the script that’s helping me reprogram mine.

Here I was stressing over not getting the exact ri Here I was stressing over not getting the exact right cake and ice cream he wanted at the store this morning!

I had baby on me at the bakery section, calling my husband asking about the kind of ice cream and then I saw the number candles.

UM…he can’t be 10! He must be 9!

He didn’t even notice or say anything until we mentioned it after the party! Didn’t even phase him!

I’m always trying to get it so perfect for them but they don’t even care about a lot of the things I stress over.

I make a lot of mistakes these days. These are also the best years of my life, ya know?

I’ve always been so hard on myself, always chasing perfection and now I’ve let myself relax a little.

They’ve taught me that.
They just want us there.

If this is you, join me over @christinajwarren and see you there.
