Must Be Cute or Can’t Put the Camera Down

June 10, 2013 · In: Out and About, Uncategorized

Why do you like going to certain places? I want CUTE and attention to details.

I found The Fat Hen on Elephantine’s Seattle Guide. It was this cute little restaurant hidden in a neighborhood of Ballard.

Note Seattleite inside with flannel.

We went in to put our names on the 20-minute long wait-list and they offered us COFFEE WHILE WE WAITED. Bingo. This was going to be a great place.

The awning, bricks, red door and logo were kind of ridiculous.

Ooo look, the flannel and flip-flop look. It must be getting warm in Seattle! This face is saying, “Please stop taking pictures of me.” Those guys on the bench asked us, “Would you like us to take a photo of you together?” I said, “I would but HE wouldn’t, but thank you.” Check out their tight jeans and iPhones! Too cool.

I WANT this marble as my kitchen counter.

Don’t you LOVE when you get one of these bottles of water at your table?Bottled Water

What a great ceiling /slash/ the people sitting next to me are also rapid-fire-INSTAGRAMMING-photos of their food and each other.

This face says, “Is this the last picture I’m going to be in?”

Then there was the actual breakfast. I had the Avocado Benedict Chris had the Prosciutto Benedict. Insanely delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached. I’ve never had potatoes prepared so perfectly.

The staff was made up of sweet, adorable girls straight out of an Anthropolgie catalog. It’s our new favorite place to have breakfast in Seattle! FINALLY-since our previous fave, Anita’s Crepes, shut down due to some lease issues.

Now you’ve GOT to see this YOUTUBE video. I died!

What restaurants have totally impressed you with their decor and menu?

One day, I decided to stop letting my circumstances determine the outcomes that I wanted.

Here he was mother to four, barely sleeping at night, feeling Uncomfortable in my body and sluggish.

Dare I say it but I felt old too.

Then I just decided that, even though I was in this stage of life, I was still going to achieve my goals and have a body that I wanted.

I changed who I was on the inside.

I started telling myself that I was vibrant and beautiful and full of energy and life.

All the sudden I started to believe it.
