When I walked into the salon, there was a loudspeaker playing some kind of audio for a male medical procedure that was completely detailed, out of place and unexpected! I couldn’t stop laughing.

then everyone was questioning why I had made an appointment with the specific person I chose. I had read a good review!

Then, when the woman showed up, she even asked me why I had requested her ! I was very curious as to what was going on.

I first saw these Staffordshire Dogs on The Antiques Roadshow as a kid — a woman brought them in to be appraised, and I thought they were so cool.

They’ve got that perfect mix of sophistication and whimsy, which is basically my style: a relaxing, neutral palette with little pops of unexpected fun.

It reminds me of my Grandma’s house — she had a colorful pitcher that looked like stacked licorice candies and little horses, birds, and elephants hidden all over. I love finding those quirky little pieces that make a space feel like me.

PS I’ve been reading the Dear Zoo book to Stevie about 10,000 times a day and that’s where this text overlay comes from🥰

Feeling guilty about getting rid of a piece of fur

Feeling guilty about getting rid of a piece of furniture or a pillow? 🥰Me too- because I would think, “Oh you are wasting money or you didn’t think through that whole design well enough before purchasing.”

Then, when I started editing out the things that didn’t light me up (I’m a generator) I started loving my home (and myself) even more.

For one, seeing a “mistake item” was a little background stressful noise every time I see it. It would distract me from all the pretty things.

Trusting yourself and understanding more about living in tune with who you are allows, you to create the most prosperous spaces for yourself. Human Design is a transformational tool in helping you do this.
