The reading didn’t make sense to me at the time but it’s interesting how life unfolds.

Recently I told my Dad that I was very content and he said, “Well that’s good because up until now, your life has been kind of hard.”

While I didn’t see it that way, I can understand that it has definitely been a period of trial and error.

From painful relationships, loss, to loneliness and a whirlwind of career shifts (Naval pilot dreams dashed, then living life as an acupuncturist) in my 20s to retreating in my 30s and building a foundation with my family.

Now I’m’ starting to come off the roof to reengage.

If you ever feel in a rush to get to a certain place, I want to remind you that you’re in the perfect place that you’re supposed to be at this very moment.

This has been so helpful to me—especially since turning 40.

Our energy shifts, our hormones change… and giving myself permission to embrace the phase has been a game-changer. 💫

Here’s what cycle syncing looks like for me as a creative mom—
It’s not about perfection. It’s about permission.

🌕 The Four Phases:

🩸 Menstrual (Days 1–5)
→ Rest. Reflect. Retreat.
💡 What I do: Ditch the to-do list, cuddle with my kids, simplify meals, journal/podcasts, quiet everything down.

🌱 Follicular (Days 6–13)
→ Fresh energy. Planning. Creativity.
💡 What I do: Try a new recipe, organize a closet, plan/brainstorm work projects, create new art.

🌕 Ovulatory (Days 14–17)
→ Peak connection. Communication. Confidence.
💡 What I do: Connect with people I love, plan family outings, batch errands, be out in the world.

🍂 Luteal (Days 18–28)
→ Deep work. Discernment. Declutter.
💡 What I do: Clean, prep, say no to extras, create cozy spaces, handle details before I dip.
