Oh Bachelorette Desiree, you are so incredibly lucky. It took only one quick television episode season for you to break your destructive love patterns. Many people NEVER do! She finally realized that it was a good idea to stop chasing the wet-noodle Brookses of the world and see the value of the solid Chrises. How many times did you have to date and be hurt by (or lose interest in) the same type of person until you saw the pattern and broke it? Do you think the producers coached that outta her or what? Where were MY producers???
Didn’t it feel like you were watching a different show last night-as in Desiree was a completely different person? She had feelings and wasn’t constantly deferring to her “cue-card-esque” monologue about each guy (except for one short clip). She had a personality, conviction and opinions. Love it.
So the biggest stomach twister for my Chris and I watching last night was, “How is Desiree going to explain her thought process about choosing Chris after she spent days (maybe weeks) crying over Brooks and telling Brooks she loved him?” Well, I was satisfied with how she addressed it. She really did finally understand that she deserved love. She was ready for mature love and I felt that her relationship with Drew was too superficial. It made sense when after the Brooks incident, she was unable to connect to Drew-Drew just wasn’t on that level with her. Poor guy. NOT. Drew will be fine! Those great looks, sweet attitude and love for his handicapped sister make him pretty much perfect. Maybe Neil Lane will help him with a ring down the line.
Alright…now how about the NEW Bachelor, Jaun Pablo? Juan Pablo Galavis Announced As New ‘Bachelor’ For Season 18 In the After The Rose Special, reports Huff Post TV. Is he going to find a mother for his beloved daughter Camilla? We all had a feeling it was going to be him. I loved how he sincerely asked Desiree in the ‘Guys Tell All’ episode why she never took him on a one-on-one date. That sealed the deal for me-he is real and he was trying. Sorry, Juan Pablo for Desiree making you just a Venezuelan boy-toy. Next season on The Bachelor, you’re going to be more than a sexy piece of former pro-soccer swagger with an accent that un-does buttons. Promise.
(check out those GORGEOUS flowers Steph and Isaac picked up for us at the Fremont Farmers Market last weekend in Seattle. LOVE the dahlias.)
