Winter is truly a natural time for both animals and people to rest. We live in an age and culture of productivity. What a blessing. At the same time, I was recently reminded that a plant doesn’t produce a piece of fruit every single day. We don’t need to be producing as much as we think we need to. I made these cards for you to seek the quality and joy in your day. I hope you enjoy them!
It’s common to hear, “Act as if” but you also simply “Act.” What I mean is, do the things that you want to do right now. Want to read more but don’t have the time? Read a page. Get a book on tape for when you walk or pick up kids from school.
Us high achieving women have the capacity for perfection but at what expense? Enjoy a less than perfectly clean kitchen for the meals and connection created there.
Want to get out of your head? Get your nose involved. When you move your attention from a busy, spinning mind to say, your sense of smell, you can reduce stress and overwhelm. Give your amygdala (fear/anxiety center of your brain) a break and get present with some great smells that make you feel good.
Make the choice to live well, to enjoy your days. Smile, connect, keep yourself from drowning in the untrue stories your mind can make up. Print these out and enjoy!
