Hope your week has been incredible! We’re all expecting much needed rain in SoCal but it’s been looking like this!
Here are some toppers from the week…
1. Oh I’m going to make this trip to San Diego this weekend! I’m ready now! There is some great friend time ahead. I just have to take it easy and try not to kill myself seeing every person I miss from living there!
2.. I did a little guest post/intro on the very kind, lovely and majorly organized Jade and Oak today. Please check it out! Her pugs are amazing and enviable. There will be a group giveaway on the blog this coming Tuesday.
3. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve picked up this new Rifle Paper Co. pad this week and It’s changed my life! You can find a similar one online here. I purchased this one (and another as a gift) at the store. Trust me, there may be one little thing on this list in the photo but this thing is packed now!
4. It’s warm enough for smoothies in LA and this was my fave of the week: bleuberrry, banana, greek yogurt and chia seed. Fun drinks make up a bit for the cocktails I miss sometimes. 🙂
5. On one of the morning walks this week I was in SUCH an energetic and great mood. I was nonstop talking and pointing. “Look, 4 birds!” Chris looks up, half asleep and says flatly, “five birds.” Awkward. What’s wrong with me!? I’ve got to get better at counting if I’m going to be a mom.
Hey, have a great weekend. I want to know what you’re doing! Leave me a comment so I can get to know you!

Oh, SAM! We are so spoiled here, huh? How is the shop doing in the rain?? Super busy? San Diegans don’t do much when it rains…but they still go out to eat/drink! I hope to visit you when I do a longer visit and go into the real SD…I did the North County thang this weekend. It was so amazing, thank you!. I have lists on my iPhone but this calendar really kept me from wasting time and it’s just so pretty that it motivates me. Enjoy your weekend! Hopefully the sun will return soon!! XO

LOL, a fellow knee-hider! Thank you for coming by and the congrats/compliments! SD was awesome!!! I am excited to go back again! The Korean wedding was so wonderful. I’m so glad I let my mom convince me to do it! 🙂 Nice to meet you!
Christina Warren says
Niina! Thank you! If you would like a California itinerary post catered to your planned route and likes, let me know! I LOVE to make “tour guide” posts! Hope your weekend is awesome and SD was a breath of fresh air!!!

Totally cracked up at the 4 birds part. Reminds me of when I was pregnant and tried to say ‘kill 2 birds with 1 stone’, yeah…totally came out as ‘2 dead birds’! I’m happy you’re finally making the trip to SD after the meltdown last week. Hope it’s even more fun than you were expecting!
Christina Warren says
LOL-2 dead birds. YES! I keep doing this stuff! SD was ah-mazing!!! Thank you! Totally more fun than I expected. You hit the nail on the thumb…errr…head. 🙂

Hi! Came over from Jade and Oak 🙂
I love that notepad! I absolutely need and want one. Thanks for the link!
Oh, and smoothies are my addiction. I think that is why I don’t crave fruity cocktails all the time in summer. One of my faves: cooled green tea, fresh mint leaves, chopped mango and baby lettuce. Delish and so refreshing!
Christina Warren says
Hi, Elisa! Thanks for stopping by. Your smoothie recipe is so incredible! I’ve never had anything like it and I want to try this! Love me a bevie! Thank you!
Thien Do says
I’ve never had chia seeds before and have been so curious about them!
Enjoy your weekend with the friends!!!
Christina Warren says
A friend of mine developed this drink called Mama Chia and it has been a phenomenon. You can buy them at Whole foods etc. The drinks are incredible…but a bit pricey so I buy chia seeds ground up for smoothies and solid for soaking in juice myself! You’ve gotta be a texture person for the latter. Enjoy!
Thien Do says
I think I’ll be fine with the texture. I’ve had basil seed drinks because of my Vietnamese upbringing and the seeds look similar and get gelatinous too so I wonder if it’s the same. Do you have any more tips/recommendations for incorporating chia seeds into my diet?
Christina Warren says
OOO basil seed drinks sound amazing-I’ve never even heard of them…want! My friend puts them on her son’s yogurt. I’ve had them in cold cereal, hot cereal, juice, smoothies and I bet they would be good sprinkled on salads! If they aren’t soaked then they are just kind of like adding flax seed to something. Let me know how it goes!

Hey Christina! Have fun in San Diego! We are expecting ANOTHER huge snowstorm here in New York this weekend. I had hoped the snow was finished but Mother Nature has other plans. I envy you right about now! I need a little sunshine in my life! Have a great weekend! Pam P.S. That pad is adorable! I want one!
Christina Warren says
I wish I could send everyone this pad! 🙂 SNOW?! Well, I feel like I’m back in Seattle this weekend with the downpour. It is SO great! Seriously this place needed a bath and a drink of water. 🙂 Stay warm and happy!

Sounds like such a fabulous week girl!! I loved seeing you on Jade and Oak. Jackie’s blog is just so awesome. I heard on the radio this AM that there could be like 6 inches of rain! SO be safe!!
Christina Warren says
Thank you so much, Ashley! Love your support! Jackie is totally awesome! It was crazy rain, right? So great! I am safely home and how it’s couch-with-a-fire time. MMMMMM. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
Em says
Hey there! I found your blog through Jackie’s! I’m so jealous that you live in sunny California while I’m here freezing my limbs off in Chicago! I’m definitely going to have to check out Rifle Paper Co! That calendar is beyond adorable! 🙂
Christina Warren says
Hello, Em! Thank you! Chiberia is what Lauren Elizabeth (who lives in Chicago) always refers to. LOL. Yes, this company makes crazy beautiful stationary etc. My phone case is by them too! Love that I got to introduce it to you! 🙂 Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, lovely!

I’m glad you’re getting to do your trip now. 🙂 I hope you have a great time catching up with friends! Rifle Paper Co. makes the cutest things. I received a calendar from them in my PopSugar Must Have box and it’s so sweet (I’m a nerd, so I’m excited to turn the page to March tomorrow… haha). I’m going to read your guest post now! I hope you have a fabulous Friday. xoxo
Christina Warren says
Thank you, Abby! It was awesome!!!! OMG, I didn’t even realize until recently that my cell phone case is Rifle Paper Co.! AH-addicted and didn’t even know it. The calendar I saw was gorgeous! I’ll happily join you in nerd-ville, girl! Hope your weekend is RAD!!! XO

YAY! You are finally going to San Diego this week, so happy for you! I’m sure you need it plus it will be so nice to see friends. I can’t wait to read all about the trip. I wish it was warm enough in Cleveland for smoothies, today it was 5 degrees when I got to work :/ I keep asking myself why do I continue to live here!?!
Christina Warren says
GIrl!!! I needed it! It was sooo great! 5 degrees! GULP! It’s your warm heart and spunky attitude that keeps you cozy! I totally remember using the snow in the back of my friend’s truck bed to cool the wine we were bringing to a tasting dinner! LOL. There are perks, right? 😉 Enjoy your weekend!
