I’m Starting To Show!

January 9, 2014 · In: Pregnancy

Chris and I had an event we dressed up for the other day and luckily, I had something appropriate that fit! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the nicest “maternity” outfit I own thus far. You can find it HERE. It is NOT a maternity dress and it would look good on ANYONE. I was poaching in the non-prego section earlier this week and decided to buy this and stash it.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It is really just a big sweatshirt but somehow I feel chic in it. I know, still no full length shots that include my knees. I’m working up to it. I’m new to “clothing photos.” This is really hard for me and actually uninteresting but I LOVE seeing photos of my favorite bloggers on their sites (i.e. The Lauren Elizabeth & Karly Kim). These were taken in the bedroom…I’ve gotta find some better backgrounds!

Do you LOVE this necklace? You can find a similar one HERE. It has a ring of rose gold, yellow gold and silver. I wear it with everything, mixing it with different metals of earrings. It goes with my engagement ring and wedding band (white gold and rose gold respectively).

How does it feel? Whelp, it’s really awesome to transition from “fattish/PMS-bloaty/beer-gut belly” to a harder, rounded, baby-belly. You notice a couple of belly glances from people here and there and wish there was an unsaid confirmation response. You start to hold the belly or it feels nice to keep a hand on it when you’re standing or sitting in one spot for long periods.

AND there is a baby in there that you can feel moving around. Interesting.

Thank you! It did look like a blob on the rack-I lack “hangar-vision” so I try everything on to give it a chance. I’m getting tips from YOU! Your navy inspired me!

I do love that sweater dress and necklace, lady!! Aren’t sweater dresses the best things? And you are too funny with the photographing of the knees thing – I’m sure they are just as lovely as you!

This is for my overachievers!

Once I realized what was going on underneath all of the over planning and prevention, I found a way to relax more.

Comment read and I’ll send it to you.
I had to believe that no matter what I was looking I had to believe that no matter what I was looking at in front of me (a dusty ranch style house that looked like an abandoned outpost), this could be my dream house.

I kept reassuring myself that it could happen even though I had no idea how that would be possible unless I completely rebuilt the house.

Then I let it just sort of appear as I kept staring at the house.

Staring as a big part of having the vision come to you.

It took many years, but I’m very excited to come down the driveway each day.

paint and lime wash were absolutely transformational for the exterior renovation.

As we play around the house, or drink coffee outside, I look at the house fondly and appreciate the beauty and how it serves us.

Changing your beliefs we’ll set off a chain reaction for beautiful things to come.

I decided it was time to focus on my health so I started exercising and by week 3 I was quitting-this is from someone who used to be in the military and loves fitness.

Being a mom is different!

I decided to start with mindset. I did a specific technique and weight loss started and just got easier.

Being healthy became automatic.

I didn’t need more hours in the day and it wasn’t another job to add to my list.
I started this window treatment transformation yea I started this window treatment transformation years ago and I’ve been avoiding this part ever since.

I finally ordered this curtain rod from the same company in a different size, but the color ended up being the wrong “gold/brass” tone.

Then I ordered these curtains and the color is not at all how I expected. I was thinking fresh spring and these have a dustier tone. Gorgeous just not the same vibe I had imagined.

It’s taking imperfect action that gives you clarity.

I could scroll until the cows came home but I just had to start with something physical I could look at and decide if it was a go or not.

Tell me what you think in the comments! I’llsend you all the details of this project.
This summer I took a break from keeping up with my This summer I took a break from keeping up with my own high expectations and then a newsletter that I write in the margins of my life ended up on a list with authors I’ve admired for years.

Coincidence?

“Top 100 Rising in Faith and Spirituality,” on Substack.
For a hot second I was a list with the author of Eat, Pray, Love! What!

I have to constantly retrain my mind to know that good things happen no matter what. I don’t have to toil to have what I want.

Yes, we have to signal to the world what we want to attract but it doesn’t have to feel like a burden.

We create the reality we experience.

What would you allow yourself to receive if you believed that you were allowed to rest?
