Guest Post by: Tracey Colaianni (my sister)
I’ve been described as a “woman of mystery” by some (my sister) and “so freaking awesome it actually concerns me” by others (myself). There are also those who consider me to be a bit “mischievous” (sister…again). So, when I was asked to post here, on my sister’s blog during her EPIC European eloping, I really wasn’t sure how to proceed with such a lofty reputation preceding me.
So, sticking to the theme that was also my childhood nickname, let’s keep it “dark and mysterious.” And yes, this phrase was my nickname since I was a toddler so when I talk about perplexing things, you know I know my enigmas. Or do you? I’m not sure if you do…or am I? (Sorry, it’s 3 am.)
There are many ways to increase your mysteriosity. (Bam! New word! You never know what’s going to happen next!)
I first recommend trying to come up with new words. My sister is very good at this. After I had my hair dyed very dark (and mysterious), I asked her if it made my eyes pop. She casually glanced up at me before loudly crowing, “Pop-a-doodle-doo!” Mystery maintained.
Another really great way to keep them guessing is to apply a sexy, temporary mole on your face with a dab of eyeliner. But don’t stop there. Be sure to change the mole’s location every few days. And for the advanced level, if you truly want to mystify, slowly increase its size over the span of a couple years. If you invest the time, it’s a great way to meet a hot doctor who loves puzzling mysteries (Dr. House).
Finally, you can never go wrong with classic gestures of coyness. The hand fan has been a tool for increasing mysteriousity for ages. Simply hold it close to your face and fan gently. Remember, you’re not cooling your face, you’re getting sexified in a really perplexing but probably (possibly?) effective way. Keep the lower half of your face covered and hold the pose for a moment. Then, finish by voluntarily dilating your pupils. If you do not have a hand fan, almost anything can work:
However, it does help if the object/dog you are using doesn’t look so irritated by being used as a prop.
Thanks for joining me on this guest post! Let me know if you have any tips or tricks to make yourself more sultry, more sexy, more dark and mysterious.
