Posing For Photographs

May 11, 2015 · In: Photography

Here are some photos from a recent shoot for Gianna of AcuIntuit as she develops a rebranding of her site. She is a natural in front of the camera. Here are a couple tips for your next photoshoot.

When I get in front of a camera I turn into an awkward goofball. I raise my shoulders, eyebrows and my hands start taking on a life of their own. HA!

Next time you have your photo taken, take a deep breath and poise yourself in a natural, non-posey way. Look right into that lens as if you were looking into another person’s eyes and give them a kind, gentle smile.

If you are in a group or with your family, naturally look at one another and converse, remembering to smile!

If you have a photoshoot coming up, consider some rescue remedy or even a little cocktail before the shoot! Ha!

Some of my favorite photos of myself were taken when I wasn’t “posing.” Be yourself and your photographer will capture those moments!

I love how soft these shots are… like a very organic version of your subject! I feel like I’m seeing the “real” her. Thanks for the posing tips- I definitely need to work on that ANY time a camera is in front of me. haha. 😉

Thank you, Abby! That softness is something I’ve been working on in the editing process. It’s so fun to tinker with! I am still trying to pin down a consistent style. It’s a challenge I am so obsessed with! Thank you!!!

One day, I decided to stop letting my circumstances determine the outcomes that I wanted.

Here he was mother to four, barely sleeping at night, feeling Uncomfortable in my body and sluggish.

Dare I say it but I felt old too.

Then I just decided that, even though I was in this stage of life, I was still going to achieve my goals and have a body that I wanted.

I changed who I was on the inside.

I started telling myself that I was vibrant and beautiful and full of energy and life.

All the sudden I started to believe it.

I ate healthier automatically.

I lost over 20 pounds.
