This weekend was West Fest. They shut down the main drag in West Seattle for craft booths, food and music. This sign just sums it up.
No…WAAAAAY!!!!!
Seriously, wishes do come true…I saw a few lobster roll business pitches on Shark Tank recently and I’ve been craving one. Then I saw this stand amidst gyro and corn on the cob vendors!
The owners said this was their second day EVER and they were trying it out to see if it could take off. It was only $10! I would pay $16 if they made it look as if it were overflowing. I’m AMERICAN!
I call this “My Forehead Was Hungry,” or “The Most Awkward Sandwich Eating Position/discus style,” or “C is for Christina (for that whisp of hair),” or “Not the Kind of Photo for Your OK Cupid Profile.”
A little local brew called Brew Free or Die IPA while we enjoyed local bands. Wow, Abe is making some eyes at me and I have to admit, I’m liking it.
We even recognized our friend, Rebecca and her mother-in-law walking in the fair crowd! Other than having “our own sushi chef” at Umi Sushi downtown, this is the only time we have felt like locals! Totally relaxing, community feeling, yummy and a little boozy…I feel like taking advantage as I see all the pregnancy posts of my friends on Facebook!
What’s your local festival? I have really wanted to attend Petaluma’s Ugly Dog Contest. We can have dreams.
