The Shiplap wall is in and we are LOVING it! What do you think? I had tried different things with this tall, large wall: segmenting it with a wall sconce and art, a gallery wall and it just didn’t feel right. This wall is such a focal point of the room and it felt so bleak. The shiplap feels ahhh-mazing and cozy. Major upgrade!
We had a local cabinet/finish carpenter come in and do the work. He and another carpenter finished in less than a day, using primed shiplap boards from the local Home Depot. I found him by asking neighbors on the Next Door app.
Nearly our whole home is painted BM Simply White. Since we had to book the painter a week after the install (my parents were coming to visit), I got to see the wall in a cool white tone and I was into it. My friend, Erin, suggested BM Super White and I went for an eggshell finish for a little more ease in kid cleanups.
Our painter did a great job caulking all the areas and making it fresh!
I’m currently looking for either a large piece of minimal art or maybe a diy piece!
