Happy Valentine’s Day! Here are some things I’m loving this week!
1. I really lucked out this winter, living in Los Angeles. Last winter I was cursing as I walked stiff-limbed in 82 layers of batting to the pastry shop down the street from our house in Seattle. Yes, I know, tough life. The pastries, crepes, crocheting and whiskey helped me to survive the Seattle winter. Now here’s a photo from yesterday…
It’s blindingly sunny and almost annoyingly hot. I’m wearing a maxi tank dress and sweating in this denim jacket.
2. Here’s a survivor of Jen and my breakfast.
3. Jen finds a cool perspective.
4. Here are her shoes. LA winter peep toes. Hey, is that a donut chunk back there? Oh, it’s a leaf. OK.
5. Chris and I were back at one of our go-to-dinners-out: the food court noodle place at a nearby Japanese grocery store. This stuff is my crack.
Linking up with The Lauren Elizabeth! Let me get to know you!
Niina, It seems pretty obvious says
I probably have to wait 2 months before I can wear a denim jacket haha, but I’ll live I’ve survived the Swedish winter 26 times! Those noodles look delicious! 🙂

I love the food court noodle place at a nearby Japanese grocery store!
Except who are they kidding, everyone working there is Korean. Still make a killer bowl of udon though.
Christina Warren says
OH yes, the food courts ROCK! Korean people totally run some of my fave Japanese spots! Crazy!

Thanks, Simona! Jen finds the coolest shoes. We were in Paris last September and it was devine!!! Glad it stayed mild! Thank you for stopping by, I LOVE that I just made another friend in France!

those noodles look delicious.. theres this amazing hole in the wall place by me and they don’t even have a sign out- just an open/close flip board.. those places are the best. stay warm and happy valentine’s day. 🙂
Christina Warren says
Erika! I am TOTALLY a lover of the “hole in the wall.” Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

I’m so jealous of all that sun! PA winters tend to be quite grey and I’m definitely feeling it 🙁 Happy Valentine’s Day!
Christina Warren says
I have totally lived in PA! My grandparents live in Pittsburgh. The grey really affected me in Seattle last year! I don’t know if I could have taken another one! I went to the tanning salon for vitamin D! Ha! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
withluckblog says
that’s so funny! did the tanning salon work? I might be at that point ha
Christina Warren says
It really did help. I was told by a friend to let the warmth into my winter life: tanning, warm foods, having friends over to my home, great lighting in our home, fires etc. 🙂 Let me know how you are doing!!!
Jessica (Coco/Mingo) says
Oh my gosh, those noodles remind me of one of my favorite places to eat back home – which is in a Japanese store as well!! They have the best foods, right?! I’m glad you had such a great week! Happy Valentine’s day and have such a wonderful weekend, friend!! xo
Christina Warren says
LOL Jessica, these places totally rock. Love to you and your weekend as well!!

Hey Christina! Happy Friday and Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m going to live vicariously through you for a minute because we have had snowsnowsnow here in New York. It was cute at first but now I’m getting over it. Have a great weekend!
Christina Warren says
I hear about the New York weather in the news! I remember the cold life! I used to live on the east coast. Newport, RI had the snowiest winter I’ve experienced so far! Have a wonderful weekend! I am really enjoying all the snow photos-the lighting is beautiful!
