Ahhh, remember when Chris asked if I Could Live On A Sailboat? Well these babies are 70 feet long racing boats (around 2 million dollars bought in the eighties)…much bigger than what we were looking at and available for sunset cruises out of downtown Seattle.
Dad leans in to chat about licorice and Pittsburgh with our fellow passengers as we cruise by the Space Needle. The people sitting next to us said I was an older dead ringer for their young relative (niece I think). “Yes, the hair, the freckles….the forehead.” Forehead??????!!!! Yes, this big forehead is never going away.
Tracey with downtown, the stadiums and ferris wheel in the background.
Sister shot.
Too good. Too close.
Once back on land we cruised the pier. There is a really weird store called Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. They sell super strange stuff like shrunken heads and two-headed stuffed rabbits. Authentic? I think not. Interesting and EW provoking? Absolutely. There was one of these “BIG” (the movie) style fortune tellers and my dad INSISTED I get a fortune. I was freaked out but my mom offered up the 2 quarters and I went for it. The fortune said that good times are ahead after some trials and the dark-haired person who was “lurking” and causing trouble for me would go away. Hmm..what dark haired person???? AHHHHH!
Lots of street performers by the piers for all the tourists. This guy was incredible with percussion with the barest of equipment.
Note to self: lift arms away from body for more appeal in photos.
I heart boat time with fun people!!!!
