What do you do to commemorate summer? One of my favorite ways to make a summer memory is a beach bike ride! As fun as it is, I somehow only get around to doing it once a summer but I fondly remember it through the year. This year, celebrating summer is particularly special after the Seattle winter we had!
I was in Los Angeles this week looking for possible neighborhoods for us to live in when we move there this fall. My dearest friend Jen treated us to rented bikes in the Venice Beach area and we rode up past the Santa Monica Pier. It was incredibly warm and sunny with a light breeze. We found easy parking and got going! We’re the type who LOVE to get in, “get the postcard” and get out when it comes to the beach. It was perfect! Love this photo Jen took:
How great do photos look in the beach sun? Get that phone out! It’s so fun to cruise while people watching, day dreaming and getting a little exercise so you’re enjoying a guilt-free summer cocktail or ice cream later in the day. I even rode in a bikini top and skirt! Brazen for me.
Any more ideas for easy, fun, mini summer celebrations? I can’t get enough right now! We had to go to VEGAS recently for some pool party time!
